Recanati, where
Marcello Giorgio is based, is the town which contains the cream
of the silversmith industry because of its tradition and because
of the sheer number of businesses present. It was therefore
essential to make a courageous start and demonstrate the quality
of the work produced. It was also necessary to possess both the
skill and the capacity to compete on the market. |
|

The
company needed to be different, not through eccentricity,
but through quality. Marcello Giorgio immediately became a
major company. Its "Golden" range was a great success and
this became the springboard for establishing itself on the
demanding Italian market |
|
The "Golden" range
was a series of artistic items made with gold leaf and silver.
These objects had a double value and were unique. They were art
objects that took their place in everyday life: frames and
jewellery boxes.
Behind this sudden success lay the creativity and determination
of Marcello Giorgio and his team, the skill of the artist/craftsmen,
the precious nature of the materials and the originality of the
design. Over time, all of these small-scale plans have enabled
Marcello Giorgio to carry out much larger ones |
|
Every year,
production output has constantly grown: the number of "conquered"
foreign markets has doubled and more and more of the most
prestigious shops throughout the world are displaying Marcello
Giorgio silver giftware.
"A project is an idea that wants to become a reality".
An idea is a product of thought and is related to the Greek
concept of "seeing". From an idea derives an ideal, which uses
perfection as a benchmark. |

When Marcello
Giorgio was developing the idea of his own company he was
thinking about an "ideal working process" in the sense that it
came close to perfection. This concept lies at the base of the
whole production and sales activity of Marcello Giorgio |
|

Since
1991, following the death of the founder, the company has been
run by Luisa Giorgio, with the support of her children
Alessandra, Andrea and Marco
In a
short period the Giorgio family has transformed the company name
into a high level trademark by means of a combination of
craftsmanship and management skills.
This is a new business generation which does not, however,
diverge from the founder’s ideals. |
|
But with a certain
level of product, such as silver giftware, working methods
search for perfection. It is therefore a question of beauty,
good taste and quality. Working procedures follow the most
traditional methods requiring the skill and refined ability of
the craftsmen-artists, modelling artists and engravers. |
|
A
combination of computerization and tradition: two contrasting
worlds where modernity is at the service of art. This is the
only way that a "label" can be placed on a unique, original and
valuable product.
|
The modern
Marcello Giorgio Company has thus developed by increasing the
artistic value of its craftsmen’s workshop. On the one hand
there is a dynamic commercial operation, and on the other there
is the skill of its modelling artists and the ability of its
moulding workers. |
